Contract Design International, Inc. was founded in 2007 by Jane Marquet, Jen Wood, and Linda Kunik.  Their combined industry experience and market research revealed that Architecture, Engineering, and Design firms often needed experienced and knowledgeable sub-contract designers who could augment their own internal design teams.  Erin Davidson joined CDI in 2008 as Design Director and became a partner in 2019. 

CDI recognized a market need and the technology-based opportunity to create a network of professional designers to support design projects both nationwide and abroad.  As a certified WOSB Women-Owned Small Business, CDI also provides interior design services for government projects.

CDI is an established full-service design firm with a team of professional and experienced designers who have all previously worked for Herman Miller dealerships. CDI recognized a market need and the technology-based opportunity to create a network of professional designers to support Herman Miller dealerships and Architecture and Design firms worldwide.
