Contract Design International (CDI) was conceived by its founders, Jane Marquet, Jen Wood and Linda Kunik, whose experience and market research revealed that one of the greatest needs of Herman Miller Dealerships everywhere was for experienced “go-to” designers who could complete any size project accurately, with faster turn-around and lower net costs for its clients. Their total combined experience of over 40 years in contract furnishings assures a thorough knowledge of the design issues that dealerships face.

CDI provides contract space-planning and design services for clients dealing in Herman Miller furniture and ancillary contract furniture products. CDI upholds the highest level of professionalism by retaining a team of top-quality, experienced designers using industry standard software. CDI has developed a network of design professionals with individual expertise in large-scale Government, Healthcare (PEAK certified), Commercial and Banking projects.

CDI design services include AutoCAD drawings; space-planning and furniture specification in either: CAP Design, Midnight Oil, or Z-Axis; list pricing with descriptive information on each product specified, specification of fabrics and finishes, and contract discounting. Additionally, as required, CDI can send a designer to attend programming and/or presentation meetings, make site visits, conduct field-verification and perform any other design-related duties. All drawings and specifications are submitted electronically, unless otherwise requested.
